I am researching the ELMUND family in the Center City and Taylor
Falls areas. The Magnus ABRAHAMSON family left Älmebode parish
in Sweden in 1876. The sons changed their surname from
Magnusson to
ELMUND upon arrival in the States. The children were Charles, John, Frank
Elof and Emma ELMUND. Emma
(Elmund)
Farnell settled in
Center City and is buried at Chisago Lake Lutheran Cemetery. John
Elmund's wife's name
was Mary and they may have lived in the St. Croix Valley area. A picture
of John and Mary
Elmund (1890?) was taken in Taylor Falls. Other
Elmund cousins that
immigrated to the Center City area were Frans August SVENSSON (b
Mar 12, 1860, e Sep 11, 1882) and the family of Gustaf Magnus
MÅNSSON (b Mar 8, 1821, e Jan 9, 1876). Thanks for your help!

Looking for information (siblings, family, anything!) on Alma LINDHOLM
from the Harris MN area. Alma (my grandmother) married Anders (Andrew)
Blomquist/Bloomquist sometime in the late
1880's (I have 1888). Alma and Anders divorced around 1892-1893 with Alma
returning to the Harris area. Alma then remarried a Peter JOHNSON
(also from the Harris area). This 2nd marriage dissolved sometime in the
mid-1920's with Alma moving to Hutchinson (McLeod Co.) to live with my father
(Carl Gustaf BLOOMQUIST). Alma died in 1942 and is buried in Hutchinson.
I have virtually nothing on Alma but have lots of information on Anders.
I also have information on some STARK folks and descendants who married
into the Bloomquist

Hi ! I am trying to find out some info. about my great grandmother. She emigrated
to N. America in 1891. In the records of the passenger list from where she
left Sweden, it tells that she bought a ticket to Harris, Minnesota. I looked
up US gen web and found two different Harris, the other one was a township
in Itasca county. I will try with Chisago county first. I would like to know
if there was an Lutheran church in Harris around 1890. If the church still
is active ,do you know the address ? If they keep the old church records
of that time (1891-1899) My great grandmother´s name was: Hanna
CARLSON / WERLIN she was born Sept. 21 1870 in Sweden She moved
on to Anaconda, MT and I would like to know what year she left Harris and
I am hoping to find that in the church records. I appreciate all help I can
